The ability to submit a log not only allows you and your employees to keep a detailed history of the work they complete as part of an assigned task, but it also allows them to "show" you that work.

Task logs improve communication and minimize confusion when work needs to be done.

Task Log Examples:

When a task is assigned, encourage your employees to use the task log to communicate the work they completed.  If images need to be uploaded, the employee must create a task log in order to upload the image.

In those instances, the log should include details about the image uploaded.  There is no limit to the number of images that can be uploaded. However, the employee will have to add a task log for each image they want to upload.

There is no limit to the number of images that can be uploaded. However, the employee will have to add a task log for each image they want to upload.  Note that image uploads are optional when adding task logs.

Add a Task Log

To add a task log:

  1. Select the task icon  in the bottom navigation
  2. Select a task
    • You can add task logs to any task regardless of status
  3. Select "Add Task Log"
    • There is no limit to the number of task logs you can add to a task
  4. Enter relevant details
  5. Upload an image (optional)
    • There is no limit to the number of images that can be uploaded. However, there is a limit of one image per task log to ensure that specific image details can be added to each image you upload
    • If you need to upload multiple images, simply add a task log for each image you want to upload, and enter image details within the details field
  6. Select Save when done
    • You will be redirected back to the task overview where you can then add additional task logs, or navigate back  to your tasks list

Use task logs to:

  • Communicate task status (e.g. pending to completed status)
  • Report back any issues in completing the task
  • Note additional updates and additional task details
  • Upload photos of what that completed task should looks like (e.g. arrangement of products on a shelf)
  • Upload an image of the final result (e.g. employees can "show" you the completed work)

Be sure to enable the notification setting for tasks so that when an important event related to a task happens, you are notified about it in real-time.
