Pegasus Reports gives you the ability to set sales goals, by month, for any site within your network.  Once sales goals have been established, you can track sales performance based on the targets you set, for the selected date range.

This article will outline how to access and manage sales goals by month.

Set sales goals are unique to the site.  This means that if there are multiple users that have access to your site, they will have the ability to view and adjust those goals as well.

Sales Goals

Establishing sales goals allows an operator to identify contrasts between anticipated sales (target based) versus actual sales.

The ability to track target based sales performance, allows an operator to evaluate their goals and adjust plans accordingly to meet them if they fall short.

For example:

  • Store A has established sales goals for the months of November and December based on an anticipated 15% increase in sales for those months due to the holidays
  • In November, Store A views sales based on the targets they set for the month and notices that actual sales for the month of November were actually 25% higher than the 15% that was anticipated; which resulted in them exceeding their goal by an additional 10%
  • Historically, Store A's established sales goals have always been within a 5% range of the actual sales so a larger discrepancy alerts the operator to investigate what may have impacted sales to such a degree, in the hopes that they may be able to capitalize on this
